About Meaning to Work
Meaning to Work. That’s a pretty big title for a blog. But it captures one of the philosophies that has guided my life. I’ve spent over a decade studying how to make people enjoy their jobs more. I’ve looked at satisfaction, organizational structure, work flow, job design and many other topics. And you know what one thing I keep coming back to? The people who are most productive, most satisfied, are the one’s who bring meaning to their work.
If you are looking to work to find your meaning you will be forever disappointed.
No one wants to go to a job they don’t like. No one wants to punch a clock. We all long to do something meaningful. To make a difference. To, in our own way, change the world. That doesn’t mean you need to cure cancer or paint beautiful art. It just means you need to live out your full potential. And that’s what this site is all about: harnessing meaning and unleashing potential.
I hope you stick around and join in the conversation.
